Links

Betchworth Operatic and Dramatic Society is affiliated to NODA, and to the Reigate & Banstead Arts Council. We also have links with Arts Alive which covers the Mole Valley.

Many of our members also have involvement with other local societies, and we encourage this cross-fertilisation of talent. We are happy to provide links to neighbouring societies:

Bookham Light Operatic Society

Banstead & Nork Amateur Operatic Society

Merstham Amateur Dramatic Society

East Surrey Performing Arts

Dorking Dramatic & Operatic Society

St Mark's Players

Join Us

Membership of BODS is open to everybody. Whether you are an aspiring actor or singer, whether you want lead roles, or want to support the chorus, whether you want the spotlight, or whether you want to join our backstage team, there is a place for you. For principal roles we hold auditions, where everybody has an equal chance irrespective of how long they've been a member. Chorus are not required to audition.

Currently, our membership fee is a modest £10.00 per year (Jan to Dec), with a further production fee for those taking part in each show, which varies according to costume costs etc, but is typically around £15-20

As you'd imagine, new members are especially welcome when we start rehearsals for a show - you'll find these introductory meetings in the 'Dates for your diary' list. But there may still be opportunities at other times, and we're always happy to add people to our mailing list. Please contact us for more information or to tell us what you're interested in
