BODS 80th anniversary was celebrated with a garden party on Sunday 31st July.

Over 30 people enjoyed an afternoon picnic with warm summer weather and the hospitality of Diane and Neil Mayall at their house in Brockham. Many guests entered into the 1930s theme by dressing in the style of the period, and Gini provided a beautifully iced cake for the occasion.

Those present included the two longest-serving members, President Alison Cooper and ex-chairman David Longes, with over 100 years of BODS membership between them ! The current oldest member Derrick Graham also attended, and although none of the original members are still with us, we were pleased to have the company of David Rickards, whose aunt Norah Hatch founded the society in 1936 with her husband Jack and neighbour Rachel Rundle.
