Production plans for 2017
Plans for this year have changed, as unfortunately we're not able to get a performance licence for the musical Betty Blue Eyes from the publishers, although we hope it may be possible at some time in the future.
Fortunately Alison Cooper has offered to direct a November production of Patience, the popular Gilbert & Sullivan opera, with Ian Stone as Musical Director. As usual, rehearsals will start in the summer, with an introductory evening on 7 June
For the May show, Diane Mayall has proposed a reading of the dystopian novel Brave New World by Aldous Huxley, to be performed in the style of a radio play. This format will enable the cast to read rather than learn all their lines, but will undoubtedly introduce its own challenges which Diane is keen to explore. Please come along to the read-through/introduction evening on 7th March to find out more, without commitment (please note that we still have to confirm performing rights for this production, but hope to have this in place by the read-through)
